Tigers News · Boys Track Competes at Skyview Invitational

The boys track and field team went to compete at Skyview High School Friday, April 30th. As a team overall they received a 4th place finish. The Tigers were highlighted by 1st place finishes from Taeo Schneider in the 100 and 200 meter dashes as well as a 1st place finish in the 4×200 meter relay team consisting of Jeremiah Komagum, Erik Casteneda, Morgan Quam, and Taeo Schneider.

Schneider’s marks of 10.77 seconds in the 100 and 21.81 seconds in the 200 currently have him ranked in the top 3 in 4A for both events. Other notable highlights include Holden Southwick’s 2nd place finish in the pole vault and Gavin Capp’s 3rd place finish in the same event, Ryan Almanza’s 5th place finish in discus, Jacob Wallace and Erik Castenenda placing 3rd and 4th in the 300 meter hurdles respectively, Jacob Wallace 3rd place finish in the 110 Hurdles, George Showers 3rd place finish in the 3200 and 6th place finish in the 1600, Edgar Camacho’s 7th place finish in the 800, and Jeremiah Komagum’s 5th place finish in the 200.  The 4×100 meter relay team consisting of Komagum, Morgan Quam, Abram Garcia, and Schneider took 3rd, and the 4×400 meter relay team consisting of Quam, Matt Hess, Casteneda, and Komagum took 4th.

The Tigers next meet will be at Wood River High School for the Bob Shay Invitational Friday, May 7th.
